FIELD: mechanical engineering; engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed manifold is essentially shell member divided into four taps, end faces of flanges of each tap in one plane of interaction with surfaces of holes intersecting the planes. Spatial grid with central hole is made between pair of near surfaces of tap shells. Surface of manifold is provided with rows of paired ribs. Peripheral sections of projections of flanges are provided with stiffening ribs. Outer shell profile of manifold has convex curvilinear outline from one side and convex fragments of end face surfaces from other side. Manifold is divided into two taps of different direction with different length of ribs from side of outer projection. Outlet flange is furnished with shaped pockets. Shaped profile of manifold is chosen to provide maximum compactness, when being mounted on engine. To connect parts of manifold, two types of lock joints are used.
EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities of manifold, reduced time take for assembling and disassembling, provision of more expedient heat removal.
