FIELD: mining; devices for holding of shearers operating on flat-dipping and inclined beds in underground mineral mining. SUBSTANCE: braking device includes sleeve with bearing disk located in cavity of feed mechanism; friction disks installed on sleeve splines and friction disks located in splines of intermediate shaft; brake body located in sleeve recess; springs installed in plunger holes; pressure disk located between plunger and friction disks. Plunger has radial protrusion spherical in cross-section on side of pressure disk, and blind sockets are made on plunger back side. Installed between sockets bottom and brake are springs. Plunger is connected with body by means of guides for motion of plunger along guides. Plunger has located in recess between plunger and sleeve. EFFECT: increased active area reducing pressure of working fluid required for spring compression, reduced active area heating, energy consumption and wear of hydraulic apparatuses, simplified design, manufacture, servicing and repair. 3 dwg
