FIELD: equipment for mechanization of underground mining of minerals by breakage faces. SUBSTANCE: shearer includes cutting part with reducing gears, electric motors and actuating members; feed mechanism in form of differential gear made for motion and interaction with flexible member through eccentric; carrier connected with propelling device through gear train. Feed mechanism has control unit rigidly secured in reducing gear of feed mechanism. Control unit has radial spring-loaded plungers installed without a spaced relation to bearing races of eccentric of large sun wheel of differential gear for holding of eccentric by force of other members having different rigidity preset by installed springs and by resistance of single hydraulic system of control unit formed by plungers with suction valves connected successively with one another by pressure valves and accumulator and also throttle and safety valve, both installed for regulation between accumulator and oil bath governing the conditions of loading of electric motor and kinematic train of propelling device. EFFECT: provided selection of optimal conditions of feed speed and loading with help of hydrodynamic system of feed mechanism. 3 cl, 5 dwg
