FIELD: fragmentation ammunition with a preset crushing of the outer case into injurious components of a rational shape. SUBSTANCE: the body of the fragmentation ammunition is provided with crushing localizers in the form of cross grooves, annular and saw-like grooves made of rows of equidistributed triangular pyramidal riffles with the vertices on the chamber surface and bases deepened into the body forming the saw-like profile of the chamber surface with cross-pieces having a thickness equal to 0.25 to 0.45 of the outer case thickness. The taper-shaped annular grooves are made on the body external surface symmetrically to the recesses of the saw-like profile of the chamber having a depth equal to 0.2 of the height of the triangular bases of the pyramidal riffles. EFFECT: simplified process of manufacture of the bodies of the fragmentation ammunition, enhanced efficiency of the main fragmentation action due to guaranteed crushing of the outer case into the injurious components of the preset shape and mass. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
