FIELD: military equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to warheads of ammunition with a fragmentation shell of given crushing; it can be used for the manufacture of fragmentation warheads of different calibers of shells, warheads, hand grenades, rifle grenades, mines. The fragmentation weapon case contains a shell, on an inner surface of which localizers of destruction of a saw-shaped profile are made in the form of transverse grooves equipped on a flat side with evenly distributed riffles of a pyramid shape. On an outer surface of the shell, opposite to destruction localizers, removal of a reinforced metal layer – cold hardening is made.

EFFECT: provision of increased yield of useful fragments of a given weight and shape, as well as absence of saber-shaped fragments.
