FIELD: fragmentation ammunition with preset crushing of shell into hitting elements of rational shape and mass. SUBSTANCE: fragmentation ammunition body represents a shell, whose inner surface is furnished with equally spaced recesses having the shape of a triangular pyramid, whose vertex is located on the surface of the chamber, and the base is sunk by 0.55 to 0.75 of the shell thickness. The vertices of the connected recesses are combined with the base of the over-lying recess, which provides for formation of a saw-toothed profile of variable section both in longitudinal and lateral directions.
