FIELD: mechanical tests of sheet metals, sheet steel, for example; determination of forgeability of metals taking into account effect of surface cold working in shearing operations. SUBSTANCE: metals is subjected to impact tests by dynamic bending after preliminary embrittlement due to tensile cold working, i.e. without heat treatment. Degree of plastic deformation for cold working shall correspond to level close to that achieved at tension to ultimate smooth elongation. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of forgeability of sheet metal. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
