FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves detecting deviations of immune response from the normal immune response for given type of pathology. The immune response is determined from leukocyte formula and blood erythrocyte sedimentation rate. Deviations like leukopenia, monocytopenia, reduced number of stab neutrophils and reduced blood erythrocyte sedimentation rate with stab neutrophil number growing, secondary combined immunodeficiency state with predisposition to bacterial infection is diagnosed. Deviations like lymphopenia and monocytopenia without leukopenia being observed, secondary combined immunodeficiency state with predisposition to infection of viral nature is to be diagnosed. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness in preventing epidemics.
