FIELD: medicine, narcology, hepatology, infectology. SUBSTANCE: in patients under testing it is necessary to determine clinical signs to compare them with nine most informative clinical signs (ICS) characteristic for patients with chronic viral hepatitis suffering alcoholic misusage such as: urinary turbidity, pains in right hypochondrium after alcoholic drinks intake, or after acute viral hepatitis B happened more than 6 mo ago in anamnesis, dyspeptic disorders, body weight loss, disseminated vascular facial alterations, tremor of fingers, enlarged and dense liver. One should choose similar clinical signs (SCS), detect their quantity and calculate similarity coefficient by the following formula: SCS/ICS and at its value being 0.7 and higher one should diagnose viral hepatitis in HbsAg-bearing alcoholism-suffering patients. EFFECT: more efficient and earlier diagnostics of chronic viral hepatitis. 3 ex
