METHOD OF SELECTING HIGH-RISK GROUP FOR FORMING AGE GROUPS OF CHILDREN WITH CHRONIC PATHOLOGY Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

SUBSTANCE: method involves analyzing the state of health of children born in the family in which man had contact with ionizing radiation source and defining 25 potential nonspecific high-risk factors effective in different ontogenetic periods, beginning from antenatal period; carrying out mathematical analysis of a number of risk factors and dividing factors into simple and complex; calculating informative share of simple features and share of diagnostic intervals of complex features and forming informative factor system; obtaining information from parents on presence of given factors in concrete family and processing obtained information by computer. If diagnostic value is 0.3-0.48 for children of 0 to 3 years and 0.3-0.5 for children of 3 to 5 years, child is placed in the category of high-risk group on the basis of formation of chronic species of pathology. Method allows children with different kinds of disturbances to be selected into high-risk groups.
