METHOD OF DEVELOPMENT OF OIL DEPOSIT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: late stage development of oil deposits with nonuniform reservoirs. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of rated number of injection and producing wells; flooding of formation and oil withdrawal to surface with subsequent drilling of additional wells with consideration of volumetric heterogeneity of formation; complete development of deposit with simultaneous search and recovery of residual reserves by drilling of horizontal and side wellbores from wells shut in by technical and technological purposes. Side wellbores are drilled in direction of one of neighboring surrounding wells with technological parameters with which its water-oil factor is maximum at moment of same flooding of surrounding wells. EFFECT: provided complete recover of oil from dead zones, lenses and zones with deteriorated reservoir properties due to optimal selection of direction of drilling of vertical, horizontal and side wellbores. 2 dwg, 1 tbl, 1 ex
