DIESEL ENGINE FUEL SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines; production of diesel engines and preparation of water-fuel mixtures. SUBSTANCE: proposed fuel system of diesel engine has fuel tank, filter, pump, pipeline, engine starting preheater, nozzle to be secured on cylinder block head. Nozzle is additionally furnished with at least two diesel fuel activators. Each activator is made of set of semiconductor plates in hermetic flat envelope and is mechanically connected in ultrasonic whistle circuit. One activator is installed in pipeline before nozzle, and the other, on cylinder block head in zone of injection coaxially with nozzle. Semiconductor plates of activators are connected to dc voltage source according to Gunn-effect lasing diodes circuit. End face of envelope is made of material featuring low thermal expansion coefficient and small tangent of angle of dielectric losses. EFFECT: reduced consumption of diesel fuel, enlarged operating capabilities. 2 dwg
