APPARATUS FOR DETERMINING ADAPTABILITY OF COW'S UDDER TO MACHINE MILKING Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: measuring equipment. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has radially projecting measuring beams 4,5,8,9 formed as pivotally connected links 10-17 with supports 18-25. Measuring beams are attached to cross-piece 1 through connecting member 2,3,6 and 7. Each pivot joint has contact plates 26-33 which are arranged in pairs relative cross-piece and electrically connected one to another. Pivot joints of measuring beams 4,5 are equipped with single current collector, and pivot joints of measuring beams 8,9 arranged in symmetry to cross-piece 1 are equipped with three current collectors. Apparatus is further provided with switch and lamp. For determining adaptability of cow's udder to machine milking, apparatus is placed immediately below animal's udder and measuring beams 4,5,8,9 follow it, with following changing over of switch to different positions. If lamp lights on in one of switch positions, it means that cow's udder is fit for machine milking. If lamp does not light on, it means that cow's udder has irregular shape and, thus, is not fit for machine milking. EFFECT: simplified construction and wider operational capabilities. 3 cl, 3 dwg
