FIELD: water transport; shipbuilding; hydroaviation; high-speed vessel; ground-effect craft; water transport of high seaworthiness. SUBSTANCE: hull of gliding vessel is narrow in shape at considerable elongation; it includes deck, bottom, vertical sides widening towards deck. Stern and pointed bow. Hull is provided with hydrofoils on both sides; they are shifted sternward. Lower portion of hydrofoils is formed by projecting portion of sides. Sponsons (floats) are formed at tips of hydrofoils. Hull may be provided with fairings in fore and aft portions. Stabilizing hydrofoil may be mounted in fore portion of deck. EFFECT: universality of gliding vessel; suitability for operation in water and in air; improved seaworthiness; enhanced economical efficiency due to increased range of speeds by 4 to 6 times at same consumption of contact with water and enhanced stability and reliability of vessel; improved hydrodynamic properties of vessel; reduced resistance to motion. 3 cl, 4 dwg
