FIELD: preheating water in heating and water supply systems of buildings. SUBSTANCE: solar water heater is made in form of solar collector including transparent passages with selective coats for absorbing solar radiation. Passages are combined in upper and lower cases separated by center wall; passages of upper case are directed towards Sun and passages of lower case located after common center wall are provided with selective coat made in form of corrugated strips. Solar water heater may be made in form of solar collector containing transparent passages with selective coat for absorbing solar radiation. Passages are made in form of coaxial double pipes; inner pipe has selective coat made in form of corrugated pipe or corrugated strip; pipes are placed at spaced relation for free circulation of water.
