FIELD: analytical methods. SUBSTANCE: sample is preliminarily treated with dioxane at ratio of initial volumes of aqueous and organic phases 10:1 in presence of 35- 39% of ammonium sulfate, after which hydroquinone is determined by voltametric technique in released organic phase and metol is aqueous phase on platinum electrode. Method can be recommended for controlling chemical compounds production. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and expanded application area. 1 tbl
