FIELD: analytic chemistry, namely, analytic control of sewage which comprises phenol, nitrophenols and halogen-substituted nitrophenols and 4-nitrosoresorcin. SUBSTANCE: sample of water is acidified to pH 2-3. Then ammonium sulfate is added, its quantity being 38.5-40.0 % of weight of solvent. The process is followed by extraction with acetone.
