FIELD: hosiery manufacture. SUBSTANCE: method involves drawing up sock rubber band onto block of 8-10 cm diameter; placing rubber threads at both sides of part where cut is supposed to be formed and securing runner threads in knitted article body by means of water-resistant glue, with width of applied glue strip being 2 mm; drying the part with applied glue; stitching-in two thread lines; cutting article rubber band between glue strips and thread lines; stitching-in fastener into cut portion. Method allows harmful effect of rubber band pressure upon individual's legs to be stopped or eliminated, when required, which is of particular importance for individuals engaged in work requiring prolonged sitting, for example for drivers or for those who have to sit at table. EFFECT: increased efficiency and convenient usage of article produced by method.
