FIELD: ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: the device has a supporting plate installed for direct contact with the upper orbital margins. The "zero" of the first scale is matched with the center of the bridge of the nose. In addition the plate carries a measuring device made in the form of a system of two levers for their mutual motion relative to each other along the second scale, whose "zero" is matched with the upper orbital margins. The device provides for measurement and estimation of various parameters of the orbit and adnexa oculi such as the level of "prominence" of the eyeball from the orbit, prosthesis, upper eyelid, the depth of the fold of the upper eyelid, the symmetry of situation of the eye and prosthesis relative to the median line of the face. Using the data obtained with the aid of the claimed device, it is possible to plan the scope and method of surgical intervention before operation.
