FIELD: sports equipment. SUBSTANCE: method involves extending spinal column by means of bar equipped with handles by gripping handles with hands and drawing handles upward to maximum extent along bar with following imparting oscillating motions by extended hands to bar upper part at frequency within the range of 1-5 Hz; inclining body together with bar. Each exercise is performed for 5-10 s at the initial period of training cycle and for 20-30 s at the end of training cycle, with break time between exercises of 30-60 s. Each training cycle involves 3-10 exercises. Apparatus has supporting platform, vertical bar with rod and handles, and load arranged on bar. Elastoplastic sleeve is mounted on supporting platform arranged in bar lower part and handles are arranged in upper part of bar rod. Load is formed as device for exciting mechanical vibrations. Mentioned device is mounted on upper end of bar, and its weight is 0.01-0.07 of user's weight. Method and apparatus of such construction allow value of forces applied for extending spinal column and parameters of imparted vibrations to be controlled by user. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and convenient usage. 19 cl, 9 dwg
