FIELD: chemical and petrochemical industry, heat power industry. SUBSTANCE: invention deals with electric cleaning of waste gases from dispersive suspensions in production of briquettes from lignite, with trapping of ash in heat power and refuse incineration plants and dust in ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy. Characteristic feature of proposed procedure controlling process of gas cleaning in electric filters consists in adjustment of voltage in ranges of overvoltage which are chosen in inverse relationship to present values of specific resistance. Density of corona discharge is chosen as characteristic of electric field which is kept within limits of 0.4-0.6 mA/sq m in process of cleaning. Trapping of dust with specific resistance less than 109 Ohm m is conducted by way of adjustment of voltage in range of overvoltages 2.7-3.1kB, with specific resistance from 109 to 1011 Ohm m in range of voltages 2.3-2.7kB, with specific resistance over 1011 Ohm m in range of overvoltages 1.9-2.3kB correspondingly.
