FIELD: cleaning of gases, applicable in various branches of industry and power engineering for separation of the condensed component of VAPOR of the gas flow, from the industrial effluents of various production processes inclusive, as well as in hydrometeorology for artificial action on clouds and fogs. SUBSTANCE: ionization of gas is accomplished by production of a corona discharge in the gas flow that provides for concentration of ions formed by the corona discharge equal to or exceeding 105/cm3, and a voltage is sustained at the corona-forming electrodes that ensures the above concentration of ions in the area of the outlet of the gas flow to the zone of VAPOR super-saturation during the whole process of condensation. The process of VAPOR condensation begins in the flow get before the beginning of their supersaturation. The electric-charged drops of condensate and the molecular complexes, being in the electric field generating the corona discharge, are in ordered motion in the direction of its field lines. Colliding on their way with the VAPOR molecules, they get consolidated to dimensions making them possible to become active centers of condensation and grow to the dimensions of large drops separating from the gas flow even at inconsiderable supersaturations. EFFECT: enhanced rate of condensation processes in the gas flow. 5 dwg, 1 tbl
