FIELD: devices for visual identification of ground objects. SUBSTANCE: powerful gaseous discharge arc lamps are provided with starting-and-control equipment working at elevated frequency. Light beacon includes bridge-type uncontrolled rectifier with two filter capacitors at output; line neutral is connected between these capacitors. Power inputs of bridge inverters are connected with these capacitors. Inverters are connected in series and line neutral is connected between them. Light beacon includes transformers fro supply of filament circuits; primary winding of each transformer is connected between center tap of capacitive divider and one of output connections of respective inverter; secondary windings are connected to electrodes of respective lamp. Each firing unit is made in form of additional winding of current-limiting choke connected to inverter output through capacitor.
