FIELD: mechanical engineering; materials handling facilities. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to load-gripping devices used with crane mechanisms for lifting, lowering or transportation of loads. It can be used for handling loads with gravity center displaced in length. Proposed load-lifting crossmember has load beam with sheaves at ends. Lifting sling with shackle and lock are mounted by means of sheaves. Load holder is made at lower side of each sheave. Load slings are connected to holders. Novelty is that lock is made in form of interacting yoke and stop with head. Yoke is installed for displacement along load beam and is furnished with stop. Boss with slots for stop head is made on lower end yoke. Stop is installed on lifting sling. EFFECT: simplified design of load-lifting crossmember and enhanced reliability of operation owing to use of lock of new design. 5 dwg
