FIELD: repair of electrolyte oxide materials used in glassmaking and metallurgical furnaces under rigid high- temperature conditions. SUBSTANCE: powder mix which is fed in oxygen-containing gas current onto refractory surface to be repaired comprises inflammable aluminum and silicon particles, and refractory oxide particles and one component such as sodium carbonate or excessive silicon dioxide which creates vitreous phase in repair compound due to which fact bond between refractory material being repaired and repair compound becomes stronger. The resulting repair compound has long period of continuous furnace operation. EFFECT: prolonged period of continuous furnace operation. 21 cl, 5 ex, 2 tbl
