PROCESS OF REFINING FAT-CARRYING SUBSTANCE FROM IMPURITIES AND EQUIPMENT FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: fat industry. SUBSTANCE: process includes mixing of fat-carrying substances existing in liquid phase with aqueous solution of synthetic polyelectrolyte ( flocculant ) and aqueous solution of alkali ( neutralizing agent ) followed by settling and filtration of mixture. Components are mixed in dispersive phase in artificially formed turbulent flows in special chambervortex generator. Equipment for realization of process includes tank placed vertically and connected by system of branch pipes fitted with valves communicating with atmosphere, with vacuum pump, with separator and/or filter. Equipment is fitted with chamber-vortex generator which forms cloud of particles suspended in air and traveling in turbulent flows with the aid of diffuser grates and turbines. EFFECT: reduced cost of finished product, diminished dimensions of equipment without decrease in efficiency of technological process. 6 cl, 4 dwg _
