METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF DRY SAPROPEL AND PLANT FOR REALIZATION OF THIS METHOD Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: processing natural sapropels for production of dry sapropel used in farming, livestock farming, poultry breeding, construction industry, mining geology, oil and gas industries, medicine, fuel and power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in mechanical thickening of starting suspension through sedimentation, homogenization followed by spraying the suspension in jet of flue gas. Thickening is continued to concentration of 15-25 percent, homogenization is continued till size of particles does not exceed 500 mk and spray drying is continued to moisture content of 15 to 20 percent at flue gas temperature below 80 C. Pulverized freak fraction of sapropel is introduced in zone of formation of flue gases in aerosol flow at ratio of fuel to solid fraction of 50:1. Plant for realization of this method includes sedimentation thickeners connected in series with homogenizer as well as heat generator, sprayer mounted in drying chamber. First inlet of heat generator is connected with outlet of air source and its second inlet is connected with freak fraction discharge; third inlet is connected with discharge of waste gas cleaning system.
