FIELD: cleaning of air supplied to internal combustion engine; applicable in ecology for cleaning of air from dust and aerosols. SUBSTANCE: air filter element has internal and external perforated cylinders with filtering curtain located between them. Cylinders are introduced into upper and lower end covers. Secured to upper ring-shaped cover at a distance of 0.2-0.4 of its width from internal edge is sealing spacer in the form of ring with two concentric lugs. Angles of inclination of lugs to ring axis amounts to 45-50 deg and 60-65, respectively, and length of internal lug equals 0.5-0.6 of external one Area of corrugations of filtering curtain relates to volume of filter element as (3.4-3.6):1 sq.cm/cu.cm.
