FIELD: mechanical engineering; airtight habitable compartments of space crafts; oil and gas industry; agriculture; public services and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, metal surface is cleaned and then material is applied to zone of defect preventing development of corrosion. Cleaning is done around zone of defect. Low viscosity anaerobic sealing compound and metal-containing polymer are used as material preventing development of corrosion. After cleaning of surface around defect, corroded surface in zone of defect is impregnated with low-viscosity anaerobic sealing compound and, after hardening of the latter, impregnated surface is coated with overlapping by solid layer of metal-containing polymer. After expiration of working life of polymer, second layer of the same polymer is applied with overlapping of the first layer, and then surface is subjected to holding until materials are hardened. EFFECT: provision of high reliability of elimination of penetration corrosion, prevention of further development of corrosion, enlarged operating capabilities.
