FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: described is method of thermomechanical preparation of aluminium or other metals from aluminium compounds by which method aluminium oxide or similar compounds of other metals are heated, and heat is liberated during rubbing by mechanical forces created in rotating or moving means within reaction chamber together either with free water or with water which is constituent of aluminium - or metal-containing compounds, and hydrogen- and carbon-containing material, e.g. oil or natural gas, e.g. methane and carbon so that material in reaction chamber acts like hot mechanically liquefied layer which is involved to decompose water into hydroxyl and hydrogen radicals, hydrogen radicals reacting with oxygen of hot and therefore non-stable aluminium compound or metal compound, thus releasing aluminium or metal atoms, and hydroxyl radicals react to form water. EFFECT: lower energy consumption and evolution of toxic gases. 4 cl, 8 dwg
