FIELD: rocketry. SUBSTANCE: composite solid propellant charge for rocket engines has a housing, protective-and-fastening layer and unit for fastening end face part of charge made in the form of flexible insert arranged between fuel and inner surface of housing. Sizes of flexible insert, with due account of difference in moduli of insert and fuel material on condition of equal strength of charge should meet the following requirements: is size from charge end face (insert length): is size along charge end face (insert thickness) where Er is modulus of elasticity of rubber at preset temperature; Et is modulus of creeping of fuel at lower engine storage temperature; B is outer radius of charge. EFFECT: improved equality of charge strength. 5 dwg
