FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: composite solid propellant charge comprises a body, a protective reinforcing layer and a unit of charge end part fixation in the form of an elastic element arranged between fuel and inner surface of the body. The elastic element has a circular cut, and the lower border of the elastic element is defined by a hypotenuse of a right triangle applied with the right angle to the circular cut top, where the horizontal cathetus is closer to the rocket engine body and has size of 0.03÷0.14 of the outer radius of the charge, and the vertical cathetus is equal to 0.03÷0.06 of the outer radius of the charge.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce contact stresses at the charge end, to increase mechanical reliability and to provide for uniform strength.
