FIELD: powder metallurgy and thermochemical working of metals. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary thermal treatment of products with following isothermal holding in molten metal solution. Preliminary thermal treatment involves annealing directly above molten metal solution bath. Annealing temperature is set within the range of 0.62-0.7 of product material melting temperature. Annealing time is 0.5-1.5 hours. Method allows diffusion coatings to be applied to products manufactured of metal powders.
