FIELD: metallurgy.

SUBSTANCE: due to formation on their surface of metal ceramic coatings on the basis of metal carbides there performed is preliminary decarbonisation of surface of cast-iron ware by means of their annealing at temperature of 800-950°C in oxygen-containing medium with duration of 3-10 hours, and then, diffusion saturation of surface of cast-iron ware is performed with carbide-forming metals from group of low-melting liquid-metal solutions. Titanium, tungsten, molybdenum, chrome is used as carbide-forming metals, and air, oxygen, mixture of oxygen with inert gases is used as oxygen-containing medium.

EFFECT: increasing wear resistance of cast-iron ware.
