FIELD: automatic control of oscillatory controlled entities with unsteady resonance frequencies. SUBSTANCE: method includes shaping correction signal by subtracting phase- lagging output signal of backlash-characteristic nonlinear section from output control signal. Dead zone width and backlash characteristic inclination angle are controlled by two signals generated obeying different laws from signal proportional to phase shift introduced by controlled entity. This signal is obtained as result of comparing phases of signals across input and output of controlled entity. Follow-up system has backlash-type unit, two multiplying units, amplitude measuring unit, phase shift measuring unit, comparison unit, amplifier, two shapers of which one functions to set inclination angle of backlash characteristic in response to phase shift signal and other one sets width of dead zone. Proposed method and system provide for simultaneous correction of phase shift and damping of resonance peak in frequency response of controlled entity (motor).
