PNEUMATIC APPARATUS FOR TEARING OFF FRUITS FROM TREES Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture and forestry. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is adapted to be mounted on tractor equipped with fan and air guiding pipe attached to fan outlet branch pipe by means of spherical pivot joint. During operation of apparatus spatial position of air pipe is adjusted by hydraulic cylinders controlled from tractor cabin. Head is mounted for free rotation under the action of reactive force. Head is composed of at least one nozzle of special shape providing guiding and rotation of air stream in predetermined radial direction. Apparatus may be used in farm machines for collecting dry forest fruit (seeds) from trees. The procedure of tearing- off fruits from tree branches is substantially simplified by directed action of air stream upon fruit. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 dwg
