FIELD: mechanical engineering; making of shaped packages by cold moulding of multiple-layer metal or plastic materials. SUBSTANCE: according to invention, multiple-layer material is fixed by clamping between pressure plate and die provided with at least one socket. Punches getting into sockets at one or several passes make shaped package from multiple-layer material. Die and pressure plate used in manufacture of package have edge zones arranged opposite to each other, and zone forming flanged edges of package is provided within the limits of die edge zone. Flanged edges forming zone encloses socket or sockets of die, surface of this zone being arranged 0.01 - 10 mm lower than surface of die edge zone. Using first punch or first punches at or several passes multiple-layer metal or plastic is moulded through depth up to 10% of final depth of cavities, and then, using punch or second punches, preliminarily formed multiple-layer material is moulded through depth composing 100% of final depth of cavity, minimum. Proposed method provides making of shaped article without folds and with steep tilting of side walls. Invention contains description of device for making shaped articles and shaped manufactured by this method. EFFECT: improved quality of packages. 18 cl, 9 dwg
