EXTRA HEAVY-CARGO MULTI-MEMBER HIGH-NAVIGABILITY TRANSPORT VESSEL FOR ICE AND WATER NAVIGATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: transport engineering; building of heavy-cargo multi-member amphibian transport vessels. SUBSTANCE: vessel is designed for carrying cargoes of up to 200 and more tons. Vessels includes leading tractor and up to 10 and more trailers. Transport vessel is provided with electric power plant and coupling unit. Leading trailer is of double-member amphibian type; it is provided with caterpillar propulsor which includes mechanical drive from prime mover. Trailer is provided with attached equipment for cleaning path from snow and ice blocks. Trailers are made in form of cargo or passenger pontoons which are provided with hermetic bottom with skids and caterpillar propulsors with electromechanical drives and hydraulic cylinders for breaking off frozen skids after rest.
