FIELD: mechanical engineering; sealing units for revolving shafts; manufacture of reinforced collars from polyurethane. SUBSTANCE: method includes placing reinforcing members in mold followed by filling this mold with stock. Cavity of mold is preliminarily limited by base of vertical technological axle and inner and outer cylindrical shells centered relative to this axle. Set of compensating bushes is arranged inside cavity concentrically relative to shells; these bushes are made from elastomer material, polyurethane, for example; bushes are alternating with reinforcing members made in form of metal rings of L- shaped section. Reinforcing members are fitted in centering bores of compensating bushes. Then cavity is filled with stock, for example, polyurethane and after thermostating and cooling tubular billet is subjected to machining together with technological axle, thus obtaining collar of required size.
