FIELD: nuclear power engineering; fuel assembly manufacture. SUBSTANCE: fuel assembly has fuel bundles installed in frame of spacer grids. The latter are mounted on tubular channels. Bottom plugs of channels are mounted in bottom grid. Fuel assembly also has bottom nozzle with supporting ribs, head, and items for fastening fuel elements in bottom grid. These items providing for fixing fuel elements in grid cells are made on walls of cells and annular strip in bottom part of lower plug in the form of bosses. Walls of each cell on lower end of bottom grid are chamfered. Chamfering these walls enlarges separation angle of annular strip. EFFECT: enhanced reliability, reduced manufacturing cost, improved safety for personnel. 2 cl, 3 dwg
