SPRINKLER UNIT NOZZLE HEAD Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: irrigation equipment. SUBSTANCE: nozzle has casing, deflector mounted on column and nozzle with central opening. Nozzle and casing are made as integral part. Nozzle central opening is communicated with casing cavity and has portion narrowing toward nozzle cut. Deflector is made in the form of body of rotation of variable section, with deflector section area reducing toward column. Equally spaced grooves of variable section are made in deflector surface. Grooves are separated one from another by rigidity ribs and continuously joined to column. Lower threaded part of column is mounted in casing cavity by means of bracket. Profiled depression on upper cut of deflector is sized in accordance with end of hexagonal tap wrench. Nozzle head is used in fine-dispersion and drop irrigation equipment, such as mobile and stationary sprinklers for providing artificial rain with drop sizes allowable for irrigation of wide range of farm crops. Irrigation water is drawn from channels equipped with pumps and filled with water having increased content of mineral contaminants. EFFECT: increased efficiency by regulating drop sizes and artificial rain intensity during irrigation, enhanced reliability in operation, simplified construction and improved maintenance conditions. 1 dwg
