FIELD: manufacture of emulsion polymerization synthetic rubbers. SUBSTANCE: method of preparing emulsifier by disproportionation of unsaturated acids in colon, tall oil or in mixture thereof is carried out in two stages in the presence of inert gas: in first stage catalyst is aqueous mixture of ferric and ferrous chloride at 1000:1- 3:1 ratio in amount of 0.1-0.3 wt % per desired product at temperature of 140-160 C and pressure of 0.2- 0.4 at gauge for 0.5-1 h, and then in second stage catalyst is iodine in amount of 0.1-0.3 wt % per desired product at temperature of 160-190 C and pressure of 0.5-0.7 atm gauze for 1-3 h. EFFECT: cheaper and more efficient emulsifier for manufacture of emulsion polymerization synthetic rubbers, lower energy consumption due to lower process temperature and elimination of toxic alkyl iodides. 3 tbl
