FIELD: construction engineering; raising and keeping pipe line in trench in conducting construction and repair jobs. SUBSTANCE: pipe-layer is provided with cargo boom with hook secured on frame and additional support made in form of extensible beam fitted with two bearing shoes. Lever with pipe gripping unit is articulated on beam. Additional support is mounted on brows of trench by its bearing shoes and pipe-gripping unit is arranged above pipe line. Hook of pipe-layer catches pipe-gripping unit and raises it; pipe-gripping unit closes on pipe line and raises it. EFFECT: extended field of application. 2 dwg _
