FIELD: textile materials technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring angle of recovery of sample strips of fabric in longitudinal and transverse directions as a result of rest after loading of these strips at predetermined pressure for predetermined time interval, with sample strips being folded at an angle of 180 deg in multiple layers; determining coefficient of crease-resistance (%) from formula: where mean is arithmetic mean of measurement results of recovery angles for each direction of fabric, deg, equal to αi is separate result of measurement of recovery angles, deg; n is number of tests; 180 deg is angle of fold of sample strip. Method further involves cutting out each sample strip at an angle of 15 deg, 30 deg, 45 deg, 60 deg, 75 deg with respect to longitudinal direction of textile fabric; plotting fabric crease- resistance anisotropy diagram; providing forced unbending of used sample strips until folding angle of 0 deg, with loading and rest cycles being provided in alternation under similar conditions; calculating unbending coefficient (%): where ρa.m.-mean is arithmetic mean of results of measurement of recovery angles of sample strips after forced unbending, deg, equal to ρi is separate result of measurement of recovery angles of sample strips after forced unbending, deg; plotting fabric forced unbending anisotropy diagram joined with crease-resistance anisotropy diagram; considering crease form resistance after a preset period of time by inequality 0 <K Kρ - K Kα <100 for each fabric direction.
