FIELD: prevention of inundation of potassium mines. SUBSTANCE: complex of geophysical methods is employed to study geological structure of water-protection mass and to supervise change of its state. Structure and state of water-protection mass are evaluated on basis of analysis of obtained data and with the aid of models of physical properties distributed in space and of boundaries of sudden change of properties of medium. If anomalous zones which indicate risk of inundation of potassium mines are detected clearing excavation of potassium ore beneath them is conducted with leaving pillars and special protection measures are employed. EFFECT: more substantiated warning of emergency situation by employment of more rational complex of geophysical methods.
