FIELD: storage circuits on rigid and flexible magnetic disks, digital video recording equipment. SUBSTANCE: magnetoresistive converter comes in the form of magnetoresistive thin-film ferromagnetic elements spread along one line. Magnetoresistors are embraced by film winding along horizontal line. Leads- out of winding are connected through amplifier to output of high-frequency generator. Magnetoresistors are embraced along vertical lines by windings electrically connected in series network and linked to D C magnetization source. Magnetoresistors are connected through multichannel resonance amplifier to phase detector. Signal of high- frequency generator comes to another input of phase detector. Usage of phase modulation of signal from magnetoresistors by means of variable magnetic shift field and of constant magnetic shift field superimposed on it perpendicularly allows signal- to-noise ratio for converters of submicron sizes to be raised.
