FIELD: medicine in particular, orthopedics, devices for diagnosis of funnel and keeled deformities of chest. SUBSTANCE: the device for determination of congenital deformities of chest of children has two bearing strips with handles and 50 freely moving measuring rods, 11 cm long. The rods are spaced at a distance of 2 mm and enter semispherical slots on one of the strips. The slots are made strictly perpendicular to the length member of the strip at a similar distance from each other, which prevents inclination of the rods and facilitates sustaining of the exact distance between them. A rubber pressure cover plate is secured on the other strip. The strips are fixed by two bolts. Each rod is calibrated by a measuring scale every millimeter. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of contours of the anterior chest and simplified construction and procedure of thoracometering of the funnel and keeled deformities of chest for comparative analysis at a dynamic examination before the operation and after a surgical intervention. 5 dwg
