FIELD: production of means of individual protection of respiratory organs against noxious aerosols, used in manufacture of filtering half-masks. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in cutting-out of filter material into blanks, formation of folds, assembly of the respirator half-mask and its attachment. Folds are formed before cutting-out by pleating of the entire surface of the filter material. Cutting-out is performed in such a way that the axis of symmetry of the blank would be perpendicular to the direction of folds. At fastening of the half-mask part of the folds in the region of the bridge of the nose remains unfastened. EFFECT: reduced deformation of material at formation of folds, automated and considerably reduced quantity of operations. 2 dwg, 1 tbl
