FIELD: powder metallurgy applicable in manufacture of crown bits for drilling of geological prospecting wells, diamond bits for full-hole drilling, thin-walled trepanning drill for drilling of concrete, reinforced concrete and other materials. SUBSTANCE: method includes pressing of graphite-plastic form, coating of form internal surface with film of metal material, molding, pressing of diamond-bearing matrix by tool body with subsequent impregnation with binding agent. Metal material is used in the form of two-component alloy whose one metal actively reacts with diamond and binding agent during impregnation, and the other metal serves as intensifier of said process. EFFECT: higher stability and quality of diamond tool due to improved wettability of diamond grains with binding agent and reduced impregnation of tool steel body with carbon. 1 dwg
