FIELD: railway transport; device for revealing wheel slipping. SUBSTANCE: proposed device reveals wheel slipping basing on statistic characteristics of vibration signal in mechanical part of traction drive indicating changing of drive from traction duty into duty of realization of traction moment at limiting adhesion with subsequent slipping. Device has pickup installed on mechanical part of traction drive which generates vibration signal getting to input of analog-to-digital converter whose output is coupled with input of band-pass filter. Signal output of band-pass filter gets to input of signal level shaping unit coupled through logic change-over-switch with input of unit shaping reference signal level. Device constantly shapes and compares two parameters of signal: current and reference ones. Basing on degree of mismatch of indicated parameters, logic signal is generated corresponding to beginning of change over to slipping. EFFECT: improved reliability of information on beginning of traction drive operation as to conditions of adhesion for provision of stable realization of maximum traction of locomotive and earlier detection and prevention of wheelset slipping. 2 dwg
